About Brody Hannan

Hello, I am Brody Hannan. I am a senior History major at the University of Dayton, graduating in May 2019. In addition to working on the Arcade History Project section on the recent history from 1980-Present, I have written papers on the historiography of Andrew Johnson’s Impeachment, the historiography of the First Great Awakening, and an original research paper on the Rev. Alexander Campbell- Bishop John Baptist Purcell Debates of 1837.  Upon graduating from UD, I plan to attend law school, earn my JD, and enter politics. My ultimate career goal is to serve in elected office.

My interests in history are mainly related to American History topics. My favorite historical period to study is the Great Depression into World War II. I am particularly interested in political, legal, and religious history. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, watching TV, attending sporting events, traveling, visiting museums,  and golfing. I work as a basketball official and softball umpire for the OHSAA and USA Softball.
