Digital Resources on the History of the Arcade

 

Below are links to websites and other digital resources connected to the Arcade. This includes the links to many of the archives visited while researching the page.  Others are related to the Dayton urban redevelopment, and the remodeling of the Arcade. There are links to our many community partners. Still others will take you to videos or podcasts about the Arcade.

More than a decade ago the local research who goes by the name Jeffrey Guest posted a dozens of studies in urban regional history.  Several of these were devoted to the Arcade. Guest produced detailed graphs on a number of aspects of the Arcade businesses.

Carillon Park holds the archival materials that were once part of the Montgomery County Historical Society, along with the papers of NCR, and other valuable historical collection.

The Cincinnati Union Terminal history offers many parallels to the Dayton Arcade.

Cross Street Partners is the renovation development group that will create the newest iteration of the Dayton Arcade. There site provides links to scores of other newspaper articles and other sources.
