About Me – Adam Boehnlein
My name is Adam Boehnlein and I am a Senior History major who plans on graduating in May of 2020. I was the born on December 7, 1997 to James and Myra Boehnlein and grew up in Minster, OH with four brothers. My oldest brother is Christian and my three younger brothers are Anthony, August, and James. With the exception of my Mom who went to Wright State University and my youngest brother James who is in 8th grade, everyone in my family went to UD. Other than history, I like studying philosophy and theology. I am especially attracted to the works of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, St Augustine, St Pope John Paul the Great, and St Thomas Aquinas. I consider my Catholic faith to be the most important aspect of my life behind which is my family. After college, I plan on taking my talents to graduate school to study theology with the hope of becoming a teacher and writer in the future.
About Me – Adam Boehnlein
For my portion of the Dayton Arcade Research Project, I am exploring the legal history involving and surrounding the Arcade which consists of both legal cases and criminal history. I will seek to discover the reasons as for why the Arcade was more crime-infested in certain periods rather than others. I will not just highlight crimes that are of greater significance but I will look at what crimes were most commonly committed in the Arcade and the reason for why they were commonly committed. Finally, I will seek to pinpoint any developments in the nature and popularity of various crimes as well as the reasons for why such developments took place.
