This gallery contains images from the three series of Sanborn maps taken of Dayton. These were fire insurance maps that would allow companies to assess liability during the late nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth. The Sanborn maps are all online for public use. The other two sets of images come from two Atlas maps of the city found in the Wright State Archives from the early twentieth century. The images focus on the areas with markets or the Arcade block.
